Balconies for Poole properties

From apartments overlooking the harbour to family homes in Hamworthy, a balcony helps you make more of the space and the view. We design and supply balconies for properties throughout Poole, including Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs, Lilliput and Hamworthy, working from our base in Parkstone.

Every balcony is made to the building it serves. We can make a slim Juliet rail for a bedroom door, a steel balcony with glass or metal guarding, or a raised platform beside a static caravan. They are British designed and built, and come with a 12-month guarantee covering labour and parts. We can also service and repair existing balconies that are showing their age.

Steel balconies

Steel balconies are cost-effective and strong, and they can be customised to meet your demands. Glass infill keeps a harbour or sea view open, while metal railings give a more traditional finish. We design the fixings to suit the wall they attach to. Each one is designed around the wall it fixes to and the view you want to keep.

About steel balconies

Curved glass balconies with stainless steel posts on a building

Juliet balconies

A Juliet balcony lets you open French doors wide for light and ventilation, with a railing across the opening for safety. It doesn't protrude from the building, and planning permission is not typically required, though it is always wise to check with your local authority first. The bars can be plain or decorative, and the finish can match your windows or other metalwork.

Park home balconies

For static caravans and park homes, we build balconies with a sturdy base, railings around the edge and steps down to the ground. Details such as ball-topped posts or ring motifs can match the rest of your metalwork. The platform is sized to your pitch and built so you can step straight out of the door onto a level surface.

Stacked curved glass balconies with stainless steel posts on an apartment block

Stacked glass balconies

Looking up the side of this block, five curved balconies sit one above another. The lowest has a wider sweep than those above it. Glass panels and stainless posts give each flat an uninterrupted view, while the handrail along the top provides a steady place to lean.

Juliet balcony with scroll detail

Fixed across a pair of French doors, this black Juliet balcony has decorative scrolls in the centre panels between straight bars. The brackets at each end sit neatly against the render. It lets the doors open fully while keeping the opening safe.

Small balcony with seating

This small balcony has room for a chair and table beside the door of a park home. Black railings with diamond detail surround it, and a short stair with its own rail leads up from the paving. Timber screening gives the seating area some privacy.

Terrace across a park home

A long raised terrace runs across the front of this park home, with black railings along its edge and pots set out on the deck. Steps rise gently at the left-hand end. The brick base below matches the paving around the home.

Good to know

What to check for a Poole balcony

Harbourside and peninsula homes are exposed to salt and wind, so talk to us about the finish and the guarding when you plan the design. A projecting balcony normally needs planning permission from BCP Council, and some Poole neighbourhoods have extra design controls. On park home sites, the site owner's rules may also cover what can be added to a home. Balconies that face the harbour also benefit from regular rinsing to keep salt off the metal, especially after winter storms blow spray inland.
